Beautiful Hemingway House Getaway Positive: This Benoni house is awesome! The home is spacious, comfortable, beautifully maintained, and has everything you need for a relaxing stay with your family. The beds are comfortable, the living areas are welcoming, and the property provides a real home-away-from-home feeling. We especially appreciated the secure environment and the attention given to safety and privacy. The property is well maintained, and the peaceful surroundings make it easy to relax and enjoy your stay. Anita & Sielan were very welcoming and our and overall experience was excellent. We would happily recommend The Hemingway House 14 to anyone looking for a comfortable, clean, peaceful, and secure place to stay in Benoni. Negative: Nothing, everything was excellent

Wonderful Stay Positive: What a wonderful hidden gem in Benoni! The area felt very safe and secure, which made our stay even more relaxing. The house was beautiful, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The bedding was excellent! The hosts were warm, welcoming, and attentive. We truly enjoyed our stay and would happily return! Negative: Nothing, everything was perfect.

Beautiful home Positive: The house is so beautiful, very homely and has everything that made our stay pleasant...literally all amenities. It is so spacious, very clean and we were very comfortable. Also, it close to many shopping centers and the tennis courts as we went to a tennis tournament (2 minutes away). Me and my family has found another home. Negative: The house has air-conditioning in the living/dining area which keeps that side warm, however, the small heaters in the bedroom don't give enough heat and that made the bedrooms cold.

A beautiful property and a wonderful host, but let down by a few issues during our stay. Positive: Overall, we had a pleasant stay and there were many things we liked about the property. It is beautifully presented, very clean, and in a great location. Communication with Anita was excellent throughout our stay - she was always friendly, helpful, and quick to respond. The interior and exterior design is incredible too! Negative: Unfortunately, there were a few issues that impacted our experience. The biggest disappointment was the lack of adequate heating. We were travelling with a baby and other young children, and the property, particularly the bedrooms and bathrooms, became very cold. While electric heaters were provided, they didn’t make much difference. Considering how cold it was in the evenings and night I wish there was better heating provided. The hot water was also inconsistent. There were several occasions where it would stop working, and we sometimes had to wait over an hour for it to return. In addition, one of the shower heads was faulty, making the shower uncomfortable to use. Although the property was generally very clean, we were surprised to find a cockroach in the kitchen during our stay, which was disappointing. The most concerning issue was when the caretaker entered the property without announcing himself to check taps. As a Muslim woman who wears a headscarf in the presence of unrelated men, this was quite frustrating and could have been avoided by knocking and waiting before entering. Despite these issues, the property itself is lovely, and Anita was a wonderful host. If the heating, hot water, and privacy concerns were addressed, it would be an excellent place to stay.
